Using the Hario Woodneck is an elegant way to brew your coffee. The cloth filters allows some of the coffee oils in to flow through, but will effectively filter any grounds, which should result in excellent clarity and mouthfeel.
The cloth filters do require a little maintainence to extend their lifespan. You should thoroughly rinse before use and rinse and clean immediately afterwards. It is important not to let the cloths dry out. If they do dry out they can develop an unpleasant taste, and will need to be replaced. Ideally keep the cloth in water or in the freezer.
