Transcend Jasper opening Tuesday March 8

Written by James Schutz |  March 4, 2011

We've all been working our tails off to get our new downtown Edmonton café up and running. The walls are painted, the chandelier hung, the espresso machine, clover and water treatment systems are installed, baristas are training like crazy. We're just about ready.

So I'm very happy to report that the official open date is this coming Tuesday, March 8, bright and early at 7:30 am. Transcend Jasper is smack dab in the middle of downtown Edmonton at 10349 – Jasper Avenue. I hope to see you there on Tuesday.

    Hey Carillon,
We are indeed working as hard as we can to extend weekend hours. Not sure how soon it will be. Hopefully in a month. It's just a matter of training new baristas and ensuring that our drink quality remains as good, if not better than it is currently. Our Garneau is open weekends if you need a fix. :)

Transcend Jasper will become my new second-favorite living room on a regular basis. I also can't think of a more pleasant and exciting destination for a Saturday or Sunday stroll. There are sooooooo many of us living close (and not-so-close) by that would agree. Please, please, please include weekend hours . . . . and soon.
Congratulations on your new baby and for continuing to creatively offer what makes you (and Edmonton) unique.
    You are appreciated!

Hi, as an older single I am finding it hard to find good coffee shops where you want to stay a
while, on a date for instance...I am thinking some nice sofas in cozy corners where you can sit a little more comfortably than tables with hard or even soft chairs...pricing the specialty coffees at a discount if you stay longer for perhaps a regular parade of local musicians, would be very nice. It truly is hard to find a really cozy place. Steeps Teahouse comes close but only has very little sofa seating which everyone eyes with envy...thanks for considering my comments...wonderful coffee would be even more wonderful with better seating.
