I've been thinking about taste lately and what everyone's espresso, cap and sig drink tasted like. It would be great if there was some way to allow people in the audience to taste those drinks, especially the sig drinks...

Our apologies on the sound quality on this video. We had some equipment that wasn't working properly. We'll try to have it fixed for the next video.

Perhaps some things that could make Barista competitions more interesting are more information on the criteria used for scoring and if practical more immediate information on scoring. Beyond that it seems pretty tough to recommend anything else when each competitor has to do mostly the same routine(espresso, cappuccino and signature drink).

Good posting. I think that was totally about coffee and was a good way to let people know what the competitions were all about, the amount of effort needed to be done to get there, what was learned and improved upon. The little tid bits and notes on Chad's roasting efforts were also good. Most people just think it's putting coffee into a machine and pushing the on button...or they think it's a giant grinder.
