Movember week one

Written by James Schutz |  November 5, 2009
Yes, it's that time of year. When the hairs upon the lips of men across the country need not fear the sting of razors, but can rather grow freely, creating moustachios of every kind from the handsome, to the manly, to the endearing, to the astonishing, and to the just plain creepy.

It is indeed, Movember.

Here at Transcend, we've put together quite a substantial team of Mo Bros. From left to right, Andrew, James, Poul, Chad, Josh, Brendon and Chuck, will all be growing our Mos to raise money and awareness to fight prostate cancer.

The funds raised go directly to Prostate Cancer Canada and they will use the money raised by Movember for the development of programs related to awareness, public education, advocacy, support of those affected, and research into the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of prostate cancer. What many people don’t know is that 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to afflict Canadian men with 25,500 diagnosed and 4,400 dying from the disease each year.

You can make a difference. Donate securely online to support Team Transcend's Mo's and help fight prostate cancer.

We will update weekly so you can follow the growth of the Mos, as well as the growth of the funds raised.
