Down to the Wire

Written by Poul Mark |  April 4, 2010
Happy Easter to everyone.  I am in Lethbridge for the weekend, with family, but my mind is elsewhere.  I am incapable at this point of freeing myself mentally (and at times physically) from T2.  We are counting down the days to opening Transcend Garneau, and there is much to do as of yet.  Having said that, we have come such a long way.  We are all very excited about the prospect of having drinks on the bar, instead of the thick layer of dust which now adorns it.  The crew working on getting things ready are doing a splendid job, and the craftmanship will be impressive.  Josh, Transcend's Director of Training and Quality Control, has been working with our new team of baristas around the clock to get them ready for the task of cranking out the drinks you have grown accustomed to.  The other night they were taking some photos of their training session, and I thought I would share those with you.  Stay tuned, as we will be continually updating you in terms of our progress, and some special opportunities to get a sneak peak before we open for good.  Thanks to all of you for your patience, and thanks in advance for your ongoing support, of both T1 and T2.
